I will be at Knit City Montreal, as part of the ‘Emerging Vendors’ room. (Drummond Suite)

Knit City Montréal is a big yarn fest taking place at the Sheraton Hotel over one weekend. It’s mainly vendors selling the stuff, so it can get pretty expensive if that’s your hook. I will also be present with my knitting machine and a few knitted artworks – banners, animations, odd bits etc – plus some socks and card games.

Last time the event came to town in 2023, I took part in the evening Cabaret, performing my Knitted Horse in Motion act, between a cruise ship singer and a drag queen. Sadly there are no evening events this year, possibly due to Eurovision (but also possibly related to a casual remark I made about a repeat performance in a knitted jock strap).

So, if you want to look further than hand-knitting, and discuss unusual approaches to knitting through peformance, digital video and installation, please come and say hello.
